Biography
Fansen Meng is a researcher in cardiovascular and regenerative biology whose published work spans Hippo–YAP signaling, innate immune regulation, and cardiac repair.
During his doctoral and early postdoctoral training at Zhejiang University, he studied signal transduction and innate immunity, with a particular focus on how Hippo pathway components regulate antiviral and antitumor immune responses. His work during this period contributed to studies published in Genes & Development, Nature Cell Biology, and Molecular Cell.
During his subsequent postdoctoral training in James F. Martin’s laboratory, his research expanded into cardiac biology and regeneration. His recent work includes the development of CM-YAPon, a drug-inducible strategy for transient YAP activation in cardiomyocytes, published in Nature Cardiovascular Research in 2025.
